I don't think this problem is with the phone... Its the networks fault... I have had such problems with other cells as well... Full signals but still emergency call only or even without that, unable to call or sms... Restarting does the job...

this problem occours when you don't switch your phone off for a long period of time, try rebooting once a day.

you sure about that? i haven't rebooted my phone in 2 weeks and everything is perfectly fine.. i also have every known 3rd party app installed...

the issue sound more like defective hardware, defective sim card... or network issues...

Swiftfox, does your SIM-card support 3G? Otherwise, _turn it off_!!

I've seen this 1000 times before, 900 times it's what you need to do. In the other cases, it's the SIM-card or for very few, the last resort, a service center!

yes,it's a major problem with uiq phones they need to be ''restsrted'' once a day, also try switching off 3g if you don't use it and if you don't have good 3g coverge.

I have to disagree. I had a UIQ2 phone (P910) before my current one UIQ3 (P990). After updating my software to R5A17, I never had such problems with the P990 - see picture below, uptime 9 days - and such problems were virtually unheard of with the ultra stable P910.

idd with my uiq and uiq2 devices i have never had this problem, my p910i is the most stable phone i ever had, but now my p1i is back ok again, all because of disabling 3g i guess, its a very old sim card, i think 7 years!
