What really makes me mad is for SE to continue making inferior modules for the flagship model- the p series. I prefer the p series to other series and the fact that it costs an arm and a leg is enough for it to rival the k series. It's not as if they'll be eroding the k series' sales since not too many p series are made and also not many people will afford a £500+ phone.

the K750i is abit grainey but it takes some outdoor shots pretty good,

I prefer the D600 over it though

You could go to nokia for a camera phone, but prepare to be overwhelmed by noise reduction and not the best nightshots. SE keep their colours more natural, stay away from noise reduction like nokia giving you more detail in shots, and have better nightshots than nokia, simply because nokia use far too much noise reduction especially at night.

If your not happy with SE cams, go for the samsung G600. I second the great quality this phones camera is putting out.

so i will move to nokia

i have read the Nokia N76, 6120 and all other nokia camphones review in GSMArena and the sample pictures taken by those nokias are not as good as SEs. not to mention that their only AF camphone that doesn't suffer too much from noise and high jpeg compression was the 2 year old N90. and it's even inferior to the smaller phone K750. the N95 pics are sharp with it's latest firmware upgrade but the colors are not comparable to the K800's.

I have them both,And I prefer the K800 images.
when both are 1600x1200 (resize the k800 image),the k800 is better imo.
full 3.2mpx image, not resized is quit crappy.

That's right. Unless you enter the K790/K800 to the competition.
K550, W610, W850 are best examples.
Camera in those cellphone is just crap. Just like my Nokia N91 2MPx camera.

Remember the time when the K750 went out? What about the W800?

Now is just quantity over quality. Don't know but that's just my point of view.

Not if you're talking about Samsung's SCH-A990. Unfortunately this is not a GSM phone but instead CDMA.

Guess what happened? Marketing happened.

This is why I am not pleased with SE's recent offerings- you have to buy a camera based phone or a music based phone. Even some Cyber-shot phones lose pic quality (a.k.a. K550) for the sake of "slimness".
