Ha Ha Ha... That trick was only if u want it to blow your ears... M not asking u for that... And believe me, I feel the same way as you... I have used N73 and me W610 is louder even after having a single speaker...

I also don't like the new strategy of SE to seperate features with different series, like walkman and cybershot... As a result my P990 is too low in volume and I don't like that...

My S700 volume is low, my Z558 volume is low, my wife's W800 volume is low and last but not least my P990 volume is low. I posted this thread because 1) need to know why this is so 2) see if I'm not alone 3) get this issue acknowledged 4) hope it comes to SE's attention

4) Well even K850 is suppose to have louder volume, so may be upcoming phones will be louder.

P910 was the loudest iv heard followed by the W550.

Nokio uses dual stereo speakers, its about time SE uses it, does the K850 have it?

before speak about loud speaker??? maybe we must adjust our parameter about how high and how low, so we have the same point of view.

because for me high or low are depend from the person, other poeple maybe have different parameter.

As I mentioned, it's not good enough for everyday situations, like when you wind your screen down while you're driving (with the ambient sound of the wind gushing), or when you're at a busy cafe trying to make a 3G call without your handsfree or want to share a new song with your buddies. Try the phone in those situations and you'll see there's no need to define how loud is loud. I mean, what's the point of having a 3G conversation and looking at the person at the end of the line on your screen when all the while the speaker is in the back. Without mention, it doesn't make sense and can never be loud enough if you're outdoors

if want loud speaker just mod the acoustic.
i cant wonder how W550 modded with loud acoustic
(will try it next month when im home though )

btw generally i need loud speaker so that when im in the middle of mess i can hear the ringtone... no other purpose.. so basically if SE phones are generally soft.. it doesnt seems to be big prob to me...

I agree fully. I feel SE should do something about volumes from the speakerphone.

I bought a K550i recently and the speaker volume sucks. It is impossible to have two people on the same end listening comfortably and speaking comfortably during a call when on speaker.

And my fellow friend and I were struggling despite setting speaker phone volumes to the max during the call.

I believe Nokia phones have a much better speaker . ATleast my wife's Nokia 1110i ( most basic phone) has a better speaker than K550i
