content on the iPhone is limited to what apple wants to sell u, personaly iphone is locked to one network locked to itunes n its camera is not worth mentioning,
the K850 SIM free is the best phone, faster simple UI n a top rated cam on par or above the N95 n with MicroSD the memory cards r cheap too

all said u decide the choice is urs

I am planning to get a new phone but I got a dilema between K850 and iPhone.

Reasons for getting k850:
5MP camera, inc. flash
auto-rotate function
good looking phone (smaller than iPhone)

Reasons for getting iPhone:
Wifi
Touchscreen
Has an OS (operating system) which means ability to install loads of softwares, where as k850 is limited to Java apps.

Which phone do you think I should buy? and what phone would you buy if you were in my situation?

k850i? and iphone?

they both are from two different world...!! let me make it easy for you...

p1 or iphone?

now go to sonyericsson.com and check out the specifications of p1 am sure you will like as you want touchscreen and wifi its already there in p1

hope this helps you

Let me just clarify that iPhone isnt really a smartphone. The OS doesnt have a single 3rd party OS for it yet. Read the article on MR about the iPhone.

Thanks for that everyone, looks like I have drop iPhone and bring W960 into the equation, although its slightly bulkier than K850.

Does anyone have any clue as to when the W960 is coming out? My current phone is not in a very good condition (dropped it in water, but dried it and still working) so I can't wait that long for a phone.

I would say try and get your hands on both a give them a test before committing to either

That's good advice. You can never really tell what they're like until you actually have a fiddle around with them.

To me, the iPhone is comparable to the Nokia 6610i if it had a 4GB hard drive.

k850 gets my vote over iphone

i'm quite a heavy "one hand" phone/text person but i'm not a pda person. i didn't try the k850 but i did get my hands on the iphone. i have relatively small hands. the smoothness of the iphone and broadness of the screen makes it difficult for me to text/call with one hand coz it's VERY slippery! plus the texting is qwerty style, which i am soooo not used to.

but i must say the iphone comes with alot of bangs, whistles, hoots & squeals. the OS is very pretty...as with all apple software. internet surfing is rather cool (turn the iphone horizontal & u'll appreciate the "full length" screen)...it's practically a mini-me of a mac laptop.

ok...since i only had 15 minutes with the iphone, i didn't get to look at all the tech specs etc. so this is my opinion based on a aesthetics of the iphone.

i'm glad i did have a go at it...coz it has confirmed that i will go for the k850 instead of the iphone (even tho i can get a discount), or w960.

oh...and for those who complain that the k850 is attracts alot of fingerprints on its back? look at the attached picture of the iphone's screen

Hey, W960 isn't bulkier.
Sure, it's wider, but that's cuz of the big touchscreen.
It's thinner than K850.
