my sanyo xacti was damaged when i took a picture of the sun., accrdng to the service center., the censor melted thats why i cant capture videos/picture anymore., they advised me if their are going to fix it it's just like buying a new cam because the censor was expensive.,

if that's the case your sanyo digital camera has an optical lens for zooming right? imaging a binocular being pointed to a sheet of paper. that could be the reason why the sensor melt. but K810 and all other non-optical zoom enabled cameras has no zoom lens that could magnify the amount of light passing through the sensor.

Precisely...dedicated cams are at risk but with cell phones, happy sun pic taking

hey its weird on some phones. the UV light will be detected and there will be black spot in the middle... W550, K500 have it for sure. but my K800 dont have any... btw my old nokia phone also got this...

so when i point my W550 cam to projector or sun, there'll be black or red spots in it...

Yeah, I get that with my Vivitar digicam, just a random black circle in the centre of the sun - it affects both still photos and videos for me.

I had the same effect with my old K700i, yes and my friends who had K300i & K500i had the same problem.
