Its a K550I at the end of the day, just because it says Cybershot on the phone doesn't mean it has a decent camera module inside.
Its seems now SE only fit decent camera hardware to the very high end & top phones.

In fairness,
PowerLee, K750 can't even run 24 fps video, due to the slow DB2010 processor. Just because K550's cam sensor isn't as good as K750's doesn't mean it's worthless......I can't see it taking long to make it match K750 default quality, maybe even exceed it......

Cheers for Chris. One question: can you do something about the zooming? I mean, more zoom as this only can zoom at 2.2x.

Oh yes, forgot to mention this camdriver works for W610i too !
Tranced, you mean zoom in video mode ?
Look at the video, it seems zooming is much more than 2.2 ??

chris .... any idea as to improve the macro mode in the default camera driver ?? the depth of field isn't that great ...... and macro in general ???? my k750i still has got depth . Is it due to the big camera module in k750i???

guys look at these pictures with the stock camera driver 2.3
This was taken at around midnight without using the night mode(twilight). I just used macro + ev -1 and the led lights !!! No noise in the night shot
This was taken at around noon.
This was again another night scene in macro mode !!!!
So I think the default camera driver is not that bad as we think .... surely it does not perform well in low lit situations
So what do u guys think about my comments ??? pls do reply .....

Hi all ! I used this driver on W610i(obviously everyone know that camera module in 550 and 610 are the same ^_^)
And what can i say:I havent noticed Big difference in picture quality .
In fact, its very similar to standart 2.3 driver. But:Video FPS in Daylight is really 24. Great Job! Big thanks for that!
original 2.3 driver:
chris067 driver:
In any case , even a tiny low-light place(in shadows) in Daylight makes camera slow that inflict the precision of making photo. Not speaking about night.
So,(if its still possible to torture cam.dat) i am really looking forward for enchancing driver in Low-light cases, ofcourse at night .
Big Thanks for chris067
