thanks all.
ill send it to sony ericson i think.
the sony ericsson warranty is not very clear. if its wear and tear then its not covered but if its a fault then it is.
ive emailed them but theyve just told me to send it so i might bit the bullet and just see what happens.
i think there is a small fault with a batch of these phones as i was on ebay and alot of the phones had problems with the buttons not working.
thanks for the help guys ill keep you posted.
ps: many thanks majikman i just looked at phone and all is white

The K800i has a 5mm x 5mm white square near the battery terminals, is this a standard
wet detector?
I'm off to get my broken K750i, I'll post pic's of before and after water!

There wasn't a sensor on the phone as it was too "Mullered" but there was a sensor on the battery which I have conveintly dampened to aquire the nessecery effect.

I agree, how can you spend a fortune getting the phone repaired it there is a warranty? If you take it to the
service centre they'll take the IMEI number and tell you if the phone is under warranty. You'd also get them to confirm that the phone wet indicator is white, before it's sent off.
