Sigh... The parallel reader says it's Win95 kernel compatible on the box. Be glad that Ericsson have chosen to update the software so it's NT compatible as well (that includes XP), even though the usb reader is on the marked (faster, easier, d'n'd).
Stop all that moaning will ya. You got what you have payed for for. A tiny mp3 player, that has an unbelivable sound for such small device. Im really quite fond of mine! Worth every penny... i mean euro... ehh... Danish kroner that is...

wait till you get it to work. i am sending mine back today. see my thread on mp3player/voice dialing. this thing is ridiculous. companies should not be allowed to sell crap like that.
after all, this thing is expected to be a headset as well. and even after me having to fix it with cardboard stuff it will disconnect permanently.

i am saying that i should have NO extra cost to make it work. i'm not after extra speed or any fancy features. i'm just after basic functionality - and i'm not even getting this. this is what i'm angry about.
imagine this - you go and buy a new car and when you get home you find out that the engine is not compatible with the fuel in your country. imagine how pissed off you'd be.
its not hard for me to go out and buy a ussb reader, but i'm extremely dissapointed with ericsson.
LOL - u're really ticking me off! There IS smething worse than a dealer that sells uncompatible software... It's a consumer that NAGS and MOANS over something that he should have known already (u can read can't u?).
As the enlightened consumer i'll just shake my head and with a slight smile throw u a link.

Kind regards from a
winXP user, that uses the
ericsson upgraded software, which he found using just
2 minutes on the ericsson support site for his
parallel multimedia card reader.

Enjoy!

$150 !!
You have been had!!
It IS old technology which is why they have been pushing them for months now (in UK anyway) for about $40 on-line as stated earlier.
When I got mine, it cost that for a 32MB MMC card so for me it was a bargain. Just bought a cheap USB MMC/SD reader for about $20 which is great for my iPAQ SD cards aswell.

that's not the only thing you'll be shouting about in a few weeks. if you keep the phone in your pocket with the mp3 on , then the slightedst joke punch by a mate will take it off. get it out pocket reconnect, put it back in, go to tie your shoe lace, and again off it comes. out your pocket, reattacht. .... you get my drift. ericson didn't think about that one either.
the only good thing this player is for is if you're sitting and you can just put it on a table or smthng.
about the parallel port, i reckon it should be optional on all new motherboards. i haven't used one since 1999.

KasaR, have you tried running the software using XP's compatability mode?
