Yeah maby I'll give it a shot.. Hope the firmware update won't mess up anything else, as everything else seems to work pretty well...

..I guess another option would be to install the vpn- client?

But on the firmware. lol. no worries. Not sure how much actually was changed in the new firmware, but it doesn't seem to have been a lot more than these connection tweaks.

(btw, and if you decide to upgrade - it's not a good idea to run a backup with other things than contacts and messages over the new firmware, it seems. That's the only time I've had any trouble with the phone so far.)

Thanks for the tip...
Btw, shouldn't I backup the default data? The default themes etc? I have been reading about people loosing it...Or does it maby only happen when they do a format but not a firmware update?

Hmm yeah seems to be that way... but I don't get any box... Instead I get this error message
"The proxy server requested a login authentication method that is not supported"

Is there any other solution?

Well, bad luck my friend. The wi-fi connection u're trying to browsing through is using NTML authentication method, and unfortunately opera doesn't work with it (8.65). I've been in this situation with my P990i and as per my knowledge there's nothing much u can do, unless the network admin. is ur friend, or better yet bf/gf c wht i mean ? Bl***y microsoft.

Ah I see...
Well yes I am a pretty good friend with the network admin... I manage the students webpage and server, so I have to be in contact with him quite often...
What should I ask him to do? use a NTML authentication method? Nothing else?

What i meant is, most probably the admin is using NTML method with encrypted password on. So, what u should ask is to turn off encrypted password system off first and see if it works, then if it doesn't tell him/her to change authentication method something other than NTML, i really doubt if s/he will do it for you though. Update me with the results. Good luck
