loooool
That site is wondeful!
But not quite what I need...

Maybe I do my own program using that info, as soon as I have my P1.
But first I need to prove myself that the P1 has what I need, because untilL now even my old P910 has much more software than the P1 I'm planning to buy.

I need something as simple as this:

you can write that by Java
I migrate from P900 to P1. =) That is an excellent change indeed.

You don't have to P1 in order use GPS. You can buy any GPS device at all with bluetooth enabled. You can connect that device with P910 as well. Than you can migrate to P1

I'm doing that for 2 years now (I have a GPS BT mouse).
My main complaint it that Tom Tom 5.2 maps are too old now, and I need a neew device so I can install a newer Tom Tom and maps.
The other software I used for final aproximation to the coordinates, none of them was ported (development seems stopped).
It's sad, cause I really need that.

It seems to cost you money.
Good luck with that.
I can guess how many programmes have you managed to collect for P910. It is quite difficult to change. Nevertheless, one way or another you are going to buy a new phone. P1 is a really good alternative or you can wait Q2 or Q3 for new smartphone from SE.

I'd be interested in this too - I have a Garmin GPS for caching, but using the phone and a BT GPS might be good sometimes if I left my other unit at home!

If I get a P1 soon I might look into writing a program... I do .NET stuff mostly, not tried Symbian or Java before but you never know

On other forum, a user found a Java program that seems like what I need!

GPSJ
http://www.gpsj.eu

Anyone tried it?
(I don't have a P1 yet)

Good news

Here's the resume of all software I could find with the help of other forums:
(none tested by myself though!)

UIQ3 Software:
- SmartCom Navigator: http://www.wild-mobile.com/en[....]edd6d77b93ddee42efa29b24d11370

J2ME (Java) Software:
- GPSJ: http://www.gpsj.eu/
- SPOT: http://www.skylab-mobilesyste[....]cts/spot_phones_bluetooth.html
- J2ME GeoCaching: http://sourceforge.net/projects/jeocaching/

GeoCaching rules!

Hi guys,

Just dragging this up. I've just installed SmartGPX (http://www.smartcaching.de) to use as a "database" for caching and it's great, reduces the need to carry around a ton of paper.

Doesn't work with GPS devices though (at least not in it's UIQ form) so you still need a GPS, but worth a look - best of all, it's free (although the author seems to appreciate a TB if you find it handy!)
