rofl. Thank you!

edit: about the call opening the keylock - when I'm using my wired handsfree, receiving a call won't open the lock.. Think it could depend on the setting for how you receive a call? (standard, any key, etc. Maybe because the keys need to be unlocked to read the input to the call- app? If anyone can confirm that, we can put that in the wiki instead..)

You see, I love this phone, but they've managed to stick so many functions in the most unusual places that I sometimes really wonder what they were thinking.

Thaht's really one of two things they need to get a grip on (radically). Have someone (not a commitee) clean up the UI. The other thing would be to fix the performance issues. The primary offender there are list boxes with 100+ entries. i really don't see what's the problem there.

anyway.

cheers

Yeah, I agree. Sometimes you really wonder if they threw a die or something. I sort of have a hard time complaining about it, though. I've just seen too many devices where you end up having to do particular routines, instead of just accessing the function you need (from wherever it is available). Such as, you always have to go back to the standby screen, and you have no way to launch a program otherwise. Or you end up having a serious problem just copying some text from an sms to an e- mail, etc, because switching around just doesn't work - you have to go through the Procedure (and if you don't do it like in the manual, you're committing a crime, etc). And randomly placed functions is better, imo.

But something a bit more predictable with the timeout and the screen lock settings would be an idea, yes. (I mean, why not just develop more useful choices on that from the beginning?)
