just upgraded my phone with o2
they say its on back order / due in 15th october and will be sent out then.

contract i have gone on is:-
O2 600 (£35 a month)
Phone is free.
600 anytime any network mins
500 text
and then choose either:- (for the life of the contract - which is 18 months)
free o2 to o2 mintues
free anytime any network texts
The only texts which eat into your 500 are picture, which use 4 each time.
So thats £35 for
600 mins
120 - 130 pic messages
unlimited texts
Free k850i!
BARGIN
phones being delivered w/c 15th october.

I got a k850i on O2 for £25 a month. I've been a customer for 3 years, and over the years I've managed to rack up 350 mins a month + unlimited any network texts.
So for £25 I get unlimited texts and 350 mins + 200 texts for picture messages. Not bad? I was quite pleased. The only thing I need to grab next year is unlimited data transfer
Delivery is expected on the 15th or 16th...!

all depends on how much you spend with O2. if you only been paying £8.50 a month going to cancellation dept won't do much, they'l be happy to give you a pac code.

I wouldnt hold out on getting the phone on the 15th. Just received a SMS from O2 saying the dispatch of my K850i will be delayed due to low stock. New stock due in on 15th so will be dispatched anytime after that.
