I think Coxy's suggestion is best, there's been a few occasions where I've been a bit over with my valuation of a phone I'm selling, someone's pointed it out in the thread but I'd rather they did that via PM. There is the odd occasion where a seller misprices something and it's easily done innocently.

If I refused to drop my price to a reasonable level, I think someone would be more within their rights to post a link to that better deal as long as they just post those details and no unhelpful comments with it

The only way is to post a oneliner with a link to an IDENTICAL item that is IN STOCK and ready to buy.

I also agree with comments made about purchase offers by PM. All offers of a purchase should be posted in the thread by the prospective purchaser.

it saves against dubious thoughts about a purchase price jumping up to an "offer by PM"...

Indeed, i have been screwed on more than one ocassion by supposed bids by pm artificialy inflating the top bid price, Transparency is essential IMO
