I tried but it still doesnt work. When I double click the mapviewercreator.exe icon it says that
"This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix the problem."
Most likely this is my computer's problem or the file could be corrupt. Any further help would be appreciated.

Yes, it really sound like the the file is corrupt. Try downloading it again. I just tried to download it, unzip it, and run it and it works... so there shouldn't be a problem.

I do have a few good maps but they are all copyrighted by some one so I can't really put them up there

But if you search around I'm sure you'll find lots of them! (or Google maps of course)
Tilasin:
It should work but I haven't tried it. Please give it a go and tell us if it did. I'm going to test it on the P1 this Thursday.

I have the same problem, I unzipped to the hard drive, and when I tried to run it, it says that the configuration is incorrect, that i must reinstall it. I unzipped to different folders and does the same.
I´m running Windows XP.

Strange. I'll try to look into what might be the problem... I haven't experienced it but I'll see what I can do.

I've found the problem... dll stuff.
Could you try to install Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 SP1 Redistributable Package and see if it solves the problem?

Thanx for letting me know. I'm sure more people had the same problem. Not every one has visual studio installed
(I put the solution/requirement on the website)

Did you make any other changes on your web page too? Because I can't download anything. If I click on either of your links,
MapViewer USA Map Download or
MapViewerCreator Download, the only thing that happens is that I come to your
Torch for K800 page. BTW, the Torch.jar cannot be downloaded either.

hmm, strange. No, no changes... however, a link directly to an application will redirect you to the torch website (yes, even if it the link points to mapviewer, trying to fix this). But if you are at mapviewer.matlista.se and press a link there shouldn't be a problem. I tried it right now and it works. I do however not trust my web hotel a 100%. There probably was something wrong and now they fixed it.

It worked now. It's a bit strange though that it was the torch page that was displayed, and not your main page.
