The things mentioned here are just typical of mobile phone shops.
You would think that the staff research the phones they are selling and getting training on how to use them before attempting to sell them to customers.
At the end of the day the shops are just interested in how many sales they can make to get the commission and will tell the customer any old crap to make a sale.

some of them talk such crap to sell their phones, one day i had to interupt a sales woman in the o2 store, whilst she was telling a customer that the w850 and k800's cameras were of the same quality.
I was so disgusted, i stopped her mid sentence to advise the customer myself.

When the N80 first came out i was told from phones4u that it had tv out
Three Customer Services also told my dad that there was no such thing as a sony ericsson w950i when we asked of its release date last year.
I agree completly with that comment miss uk
