You may have a defective unit. However, first try the format/reflash routine.
Make backups of Contacts, Calendar and Tasks on the memory stick. Use PCSuite backup only if you need to save notes and the unified inbox. Do not restore settings and third party programs.
If you still have the same problem, it's time to go to the service center.
Make sure you take some sedatives before dealing with them

whew! i'm not the only one. i had the same experience here and i hate it. caused me to manually input hundreds of contacts. i do have another problem though. the memory card that i use seems to be acting up. i don't know if it is a product of the update or what. at times now, when i go to check on my pics, they are unreadable. i would have to delete and send again to the phone. anything like this happened to you?

Nope, I haven't experienced that weird file access issue so far. Strange that everyone's phone seems to have different problems huh? It's like the phone has a mind of it's own and is trying to personalize your phone experience (negatively though).
