Hi all,

Either i or some of you have missed the point i don't think customer satisfaction has anything to do with what mobiles you have a choice of. But how happy you are with the device you bought and customer service afterwards which is not the same as what some of you are discussing.

Marc

I'll tell you exactly what the problem is.

American's traditionally and STILL love FLIP phones. Don't think moto's hayday sales of the Razr1 was due only to thinness and styling.

SE makes them thick and ugly looking flip phones.
the Rumored W350i would be nice; also the Z750i looks promising as AT&T Wireless is about to release it as part of their package = subsidized.

however more flip phones, sleek, not necessarily thin but NOTHING FAT like the z710 was, and with good functionality, style etc.

I truely believe that SE needs a new design team to let loose more creativity in styling, textures, colors, ambience of sounds used (they got REALLY close with the W910i's open/close sound). The T650i's buttons where a nice touch but it doesn't go far enough - mind you I don't want blantant "avante garde" type styling that is just ludicriss.

As far as Americans being behind the tech curve, I should remind the audience that an American company is currently 2 capacity points ahead of the competition in MS M2 - soon shipping 8GB!

SE Costumer service is a joke,I send my p990 for repair 2 months ago to 0ntario(Soletron inc),2 weeks after I send it I call for an update and after calling and leaving messages for 3 days finaly the manager answer and told me that they don't fix the p990 in that location and is going to have to be send to Indiana USA(PTS electronics)so they did.
I call last week and left a few messages to an SE Escalation manager(I think that's how he described himself before)and to this day I haven't receive any calls back.
I hate this Costumer Service people, who the hell hire this guys with absolutely no knowledge of the phone?
My 8 year litlle brother knows more about phones than this clowns.
Something is have to be done here in North America.
A 600 dollars us for this piece a shit phone, sorry for the language but Im really mad a this people.

Only reason I'm not satisfied is that I can't find a K850i carried on any networks.

To date, I have never owned an SE phone, but when I started looking for an upgrade about 5 months back I came across the W810i and badly wanted one. It just happened to be the same day it became discontinued through AT&T. Haha. :\\

Juniji, any idea when the K850i hitting the good ol' US of A?

Actually, 3645 were the iPhone owners, not everyone surveyed (I think).

Even so, 1-2% versus 30% is poor market penetration. It is a niche product and not a mainstream player - and it's niche market is always going to be satisfied just as a survey of Esato will find high levels of satisfaction. Plus 82% of 1% is pretty small in market terms.

@carkitter

I don't think it's the fact Apple users are so content is the issue more that SE users aren't satisfied that is the point. As lets face it we all know even in the UK customer service is far from good. Even the telephone support staff and automated E-Mail responses seem to annoy a hell of a lot of people on this forum . In fact i think i would struggle to find a single post praising SE' customer service or support on the whole Forum.

chrisperro and what he has experienced is far from unique i have read lots of similiar complaints @Howard Forums a North American based forum many times. This really isn't the way to treat customers who bought your flagship product in fact any product for that matter and does nothing to help win customers as an unhappy customer will tell more people not to touch them, then a happy customer will recommend them sad but true IMO.

Why does SE hate America? They're releasing phones with tri-band radios, ignoring the popular North American 850 MHz. It they want American love, how about releasing phones that will work well in America? I wanted a W960, but no 850 MHz band and no EDGE make it a non-starter for me. Same thing with the P1; no 850 MHz, no EDGE. If SE doesn't want to market to the U.S., they really can't expect big sales numbers here. Maybe the K850 will sell. They should take a look at what Nokia is doing in North America.
