There was an investigation which the officials decided not to inpose any discipline but McLaren have appealed now and it will be investigated again.

and I think they should be as strict with these alledged offenders (cool fuel at pit stop) as they have been with McLaren offences this year

however, I'm sure that Lewis would not want to win under those circumstances and I also feel its a thoroughly deserved win for Kimi as he did win 6 grand prix, 2 more than Lewis

personally I was just happy that Alonso did not win, or come second even, given his bad attitude/sportsmanship late this year. I wonder if he will be with McLaren next year...

@jcwhite:
thanks for the correction regarding Finland producing THREE F1 champions... didn't know Rosberg was a Finn until you mentioned it. i thought he was German since the son Nico is of German nationality (could it be his mother's nationality then?).

@masseur:
definitely, you are dead on spot! Kimi really deserved to win considering the number of GPs he has won but then we could not ignore the fact that Lewis got podium honors save for three GPs. in fact, except for Felipe, it was only Fernando, Lewis and Kimi sharing the podium almost all the time this season.

been an F1 fan since 1999 but i guess my knowledge about the sport still needs a lot of sprucing up

the 2007 season was indeed incredibly hot! what a season-ending race it was in Brazil. cheers to Kimi and to Ferrari! would this spell another dynastic run for the years to come, post-Schumi era?

just some queries for us to ponder upon:

would Fernando come back home to Flavio's turf? where would that place the two current Renault drivers, Fisi in particular?

what about the 50.0M offered by Toyota to him to drive for them?

who would take his place alongside Lewis at McLaren if he leaves? i used to love McLaren when it was Mika and Kimi driving for them

ps:
guys, thanks for the interest in this non-mobile thread! cheers to all of us F1 fans!

Re "cool fuel" the FIA tech guys would have a fairly good idea of the degree of the "cheating" (no pun intended) and that is why they decided it did not require a penalty.

I belive Kimi is a very deserving champion and offer my congratulations.

What was funny, was seeing "Bernie" stumbling over his words during Martin Brundle’s grid walk, but make NO mistake he and plenty of others in F1 did NOT want Hamilton winning the title this year under ANY circumstances.

F1 has had poor audience figures for quite a few years now, and a lot of the sponsors were getting really shitty about a constantly rising "ticket price" whilst being faced with falling “returns” due to low viewer figures.

Those at the top in F1 got an unexpected bonus when Lewis came along and they desperately need Hamilton to provide good TV figures for as long as possible, result, the sponsors are in a better frame of mind.

Strange as it may seem Mc Claren will also probably do far better from him losing this year, Although they have been unable to provide their sponsors with either the 2007 constructors or drivers championship (most wont be that worried), they have been able to offer them unequalled media interest in Hamilton which has of course translated into a bonanza of exposure for all their sponsors, and McClaren need that to continue for as long as possible, The media will be following Lewis as closely in 2008 as they did in 2007 the will he wont he debate will be as big next as it ever was this time around.

If Hamilton had won this year they would have had less to sell those all important sponsorship deals off the back of in 2008, (which is much more important to any team than a driver wining the drivers world championship!) Plus they will not have to pay him World Champions money just yet either!

Shame it's difficult for us to win anything without making our public go crazy...

Yup, there's an ONGOING investigation . . . re:FUEL issues. If ever, the verdict will be in FAVOR of: Lewis Hamilton . . . he will be elated from 7th place to nth, thus . . . giving him MORE winning points which will eventually CATAPULT his current points-standing, resulting for him to WIN the 2007 Driver-of-the-Year Award, 2 points OVER Kimi Raikkonen If so, I guess this is a VERY first in the F1 History . . . making Lewis Hamilton both the: Rookie-of-the-Year and Driver-of-the-Year for this season !

I was quite surprised to SEE the GREAT: Mika Hakkinen in the Brazilian Race the F1 cam was focused to him during the latter part of the race looks like Mike Schumacher's-nemesis back then is planning for a return-of-the-comeback in the Formula 1 race . . . next year/season !

@Jojo:

i believe Mika is currently racing in the FIA Touring Car series...
he was probably in Brazil either to lend support to his former team McLaren or his "kababayan" Kimi...

cheers!
