I'll 2nd the O2 deal, the *0# delivery reports come back when the other phone recives the text, not when it's read though.

O2 would be your best option, and I'm not being biased either.

Personally, I used to rely on delivery reports but since not having them since about May time I've gotten used to it. I mean, I wouldn't NOT have a provider just because of something as small as that.

The reason O2 would be best is that for £10 a month top up you can have ONE of the following for a month (and keep the £10 credit too):

-300 UK texts
-50 UK minutes
-500 minutes to O2's and Landlines from a postcode of your choice

or (and here's the new and better one)

-50 minutes to ANY country in the world, mobile or landline, 24/7

Now you can't tell me that THAT isn't benefitial to you somehow.

I was with Orange for 8 years until they decided to charge for Delivery reports at 1p a pop on contract, Possible payg to follow.

Im now with o2 and ive never looked back, been with o2 in 10 months and my bills are loads less than orange, i get lots more benefits and im a texter

I send on average a few thousand sms a month and I can tell you that not one has never not been delivered.

I connect my phone up to my pc and sms through the phone but using a keyboard and i just text for england.

Ok im on Contract, But i have so far transfered over 20 people in 10 months over to o2 payg and over 10 on contract (More to follow this month) and again they have never had a problem. Infact my sister made a comment the other week about o2.

Comment was I have never had so much credit or so many text. This is gr8. Why wasnt i on this a lot sooner!!

I dont bother with delivery reports any more. I thought i would miss them, I did for about a week or so, now im fine, sont even think about it

If i want to know if someone is def getting my sms i do use the code. but can say ive used the code about 50 times in thelast 10 months.

For me o2 offer the best value in payg.

£10 = 300sms, 1mb wap,
£15 = 500sms, 1mb wap,
£30 = unlimited sms, 1mb wap

Bear in mind on the above, you can also send picture and video messages out of your sms bundle so 1 pic/vms takes 3 of your bundle.

and dont forget you get to keep the credit too.

and in addition, you can have o2 treats, thats a freebie after 3 months as long as you credit £10 a month with o2.

you can choose from free mins, more sms, free mins to o2 phones at happy hour.

and last but not least, you can also claim 10% back of your topups every 3 months. (As long as you register)
So if you spend £30 in 3 months, you can claim £3 in credit durin your third month.

few think ive remebered everything!!
