Hi all
The police are reluctant to act on anything now a days there to busy doing paper work, so i would imagine they would of had to have had several complaints plus bills as proof before circulating anything.
Any way i have warned people what anyone does it up to them, ignore it or do what ever you wish it really won't effect me one way or the other. But if it saves one person money when they get a phone call requesting this IMO that's all that matters.
@Lunion
Obviously they have some sort of gadget at their end otherwise it wouldn't work.

Fair point, but i don't get whats stopping me ringing someone and pressing #09 and getting access to their sim card.
Thats the thing that makes me think it's a hoax.

@Lunion
Just how would that work then? as i said i would imagine they would need some sort of Gizmo to be able to read and display the Data collected but i really don't know. Why not ring a friend or work colleague and see what happens.

I suppose i should of ignored it until people started posting i have a massive phone bill I've been ripped off as it wouldn't be much help then would it?
If you're going to take that kind of attitude then yes, you should have. And while we're at it, practice what you preach. Read our replies properly before you go editing your posts accusing people of not reading yours.

@Dogmann
Well since you asked, these bits in bold appeared in an edit:
@MARLY & Cycovision
Did neither of you not bother reading what i have said
about 10 minutes or so after I had replied with this:
I read your post mate and I'm not suggesting anything here, but it is a hoax!
Which led me to believe that you either didn't read that I HAD actually read your post, or you just chose to ignore it
I could understand your confrontational attitude if I were being insulting towards you in some way or accusing you of lying, but clearly I wasn't.

ahhh..
this ol' chesnut...
There is no way on God's green earth that some gimp can remotely access you're SIM card by you pressing a key buttons, if it were true I'd have numerous famous peoples phone numbers by now...
This hoax was first communicated to me while I was at Orange back in 2002/2003......
