I guess my recommendation of HTC TYTN still wins hands down for your budget and feature requirements

WELL After so much of Reviews, Searches, References, Advise from Frendz, etc,
I m still confused with few cornered or selected phones, WHICH ARE-

1) HTC TYTN
PROS
- Meets almost all MY Requirements
Big screen (2.8")
OK Resolution,
OK EDGE (class 10)
3G,
OK CAMERA (2MP WID FLASH),
Bluetooth 2.0(with a2dp),
Qwerty Pad,
Touth screen With Appropriate sized Stylus,
Wifi 802.11g/b (latest)
&
USB (thou 1.1)

CONS
- Weak on COLOURS (JUST 65K)
- Weak on MEMORY (JUST 128 mb ROM & NO EXTERNAL)
- Some people havin Battery & Keypad probs too. (NOT CONFIRMED & maybe with old firmware or WM5 )
- ON BOARD GPS CHIP BUT REDUNDENT ( thou some hav activated that with some 10 $ spending)- doesnt matter much as

MAIN THINGs HURTING-
COLOURS & tHOSE "LIKE TO HAVE" FEATURES WHICH N95 HAS IT ALL,BUT THIS DOESNT.

******(TYTN II IS great but its abv my budget & also extra 100$ for -just ok gps, screen tilt, some memory & 1mp extra camera is not worth i think)******

2) NOKIA N95
PROS
- MEETS
BIG screen (2.6" - smaller than TYTN)
OK Resolution
GREAT COLOURS (16 M)
Good EDGE (class 32)
3G
GREAT CAMERA (5 MP WID FLASH)
Bluetooth 2.0(with a2dp),
Wifi 802.11g/b (latest)
&
USB ( 2.O)
GPS
TV OUT
FM RADIO

CONS
- Weak on MEMORY (JUST 128 mb EXTERNAL)
- HAS Battery PROBLEM ( CONFIRMED)
- NO QWERTY KEYPAD
- NO TOUCH SCREEN WITH STYLUS

MAIN THINGs HURTING-
TOUCH SCREEN & QWERTY KEYPAD & BATTERY

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Frankly,
I TRIED reviewing MANY OTHER OPTIONS DETAILED BELOW.
BUT I have been not able to Add any other good 1 in to this list goin by MY REQUIREMENTS BCOZ-

1) BUDGET PRICE ( NOT anv 700$ or RS 31k APPROX)
2) BIG SCREEN ( many other options lack this , which is my 1ST PRIORITY)
3) QWERTY KEYBOARD ( many other options lack this too, most being SMARTPHONE OPTIONS)
4) EDGE (some other options lack this)
5) 3G (some other options lack this)
6) OTHER PROBS (like firmware probs, battery, bad camera, less memory)

OTHER OPTIONS WERE-
-SE P990i ( NO ONE RECOMmended that )
-SE P1i ( half Qwerty-half irritating keypad, no EGDE)
-NOKIA N73 (small screen,not qwerty,bleak memory)
-NOKIA E61i (TOuchscreen,Bleak Memory, TOO BROAD form)
-HTC TOUCH (NO 3G, NOT QWERTY)
-HTC P3300 (NO 3G, NOT QWERTY)
-IMATE JAM (1.3MP CAMERA, NO WIFI)
-IMATE KJAM (1.3MP CAMERA, NO 3G)
-IMATE JASJAM (NO BUDGET- thou i havnt been able to find out exact price of this till now)
-IMATE JASJAR (NO BUDGET)
-HTC TYTN II ( NO BUDGET)
-BLACKBERRY'ES -- NONE HAS 3G ,till now so not reviewed ( am i correct?)

(NOTE: i have not considered " TO BE RELAESED PHONES" BCOZ,
- god knows what "PROBLEMS" they r goin to develop, whcih many develop after a new product is released
- waiting for those is mainly waste of time as these money churning BRANDS r never goin to churn out A PREFECT phone)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Actually i think ,
THIS THREad will no just help me!
It will help a lot of people out here who are thinking of buying a smartphone or pda,
with these specs ( and these specs are the ones which most of those will cherish )
within that budget
or
THINKING of shifting from SYMBIAN TO PDA OS like windows/palm/linux(?)

NOW, what do u people have,
to ADVISE me about the smartphone or pda shd i go for?
OR ANY other option i have left?
OR ANY other option LEFT ?
OR ANY other correction for abv?

THANKING again in advance.
Regards
FreWorlD.

Let me just clear something for you. 128MB is the internal memory which is easily upgradeable to up to 4GB via memory card. You wont find any smartphone with ~150MB internal memory except the N95 8GB and N81 8GB. Secondly, all windows based smartphones come with 65k color screen, even some with VGA res. screens come with 65k colors so i assume the OS needs only 65k or anything over 65k is just not needed.

thanks for explaining dude but
i have already cleared myself about that expansion thing about 8 posts abv this.
Expansion stuff via slot does cost u and adds to ones budget.
and memory is not as cheap.
So while comparing phones, u need to take that in mind.

hmm.. dats y i hav just kept 64mb as appropriate in my requirements.

but why dont they go for more than 65k,?
i know more colour stuff like that sucks battery but looks on every inch of screen looks awesome and vga screen with sparkle wid dat.
isnt dat?
so why nt d need?

They dont go for it because there is no need for it, atleast thats what i think. Otherwise they would go for it.
As for the memory, its not that expensive, believe me. If you're waiting for a phone that has enough memory for it to not require a memory card then you'll be waiting forever.

May be my liking is not of all!

Memory over here in india,,good branded, is nt too cheap either dude.
yes, regarding next statement, i agree.but i m not waiting for such case as
memory is never my such preference bcoz
when u get ur all other major feATure phone, memory rarely will bother u.
most probably such phone will have a slot if internal is less.
So 1 can go in for some more money and get his REQUIRED phone.

Yea dat great but,

it, N81 doesnt solve all other important requirements.
- Screen size is just 2.4"
- Not QWERTY
- No TOUCHSCREEN

Thanks.
