it depends on how much is 200 bucks in your country...if it were here, it would be a GREAT deal to exchange a P990 for a P1, and paying that ammount...

Go for it!!! Here in our Country, a brand new P1 costs around USD200 more than a brand new P990. Considering the slim/stylish design, 128 RAM and 3.2 megapixel camera.

P1i is nothing more than a upgraded design. you will not see a beneficial difference in usng the p990i and p1i. save the money. donate it to your local charity. spend it on your family. wait for the next generation. Peru is a 3rd world country, you get the point.
I initially thought that this post should be deleted by Admin but It seems that you just don't know the meaning of 3rd world country.

i dont know, but here in my country a brand new p990i is around $310 while P1i is around $530, so its like the seller is considering your phone in a brand new price, so I say go for it.

@sidney, if you are getting the p1i on a warranty it is an ok deal. else i may not take that offer. what if you are having the same issue that you faced with your p990i on your p1i?

@kidney - I fthe problem with your P990i is UNresolvable . . . then I guess you have NO other option but to have it traded with the P1i + US$ 200.00. But I am really having SECOND-doubts here why would that STORE or PERSON would accept a problematic-fone (as you would have said it) if he will INHERIT the dilemma you are faced with it - now :eekL Common-sense NOW just dictates that the fone (P990i) would still be FIXED ! I guess you have another option to LOOK for a ggod-technician OUTSIDE (reliable one) who can alter the problem with your P990i - Godd Luck !

He's probably just gonna unload it on the first innocent dude that walks into his little shop having absolutely no idea what a smartphone is or what to do with one. This dude will probably be upgrading from a Nokia 1100 with all the cash he's saved up during the last 3 years. The big touchscreen will probably be enough to get him to pay 700 dollars.

Well, the problem with my phone is very rare, very very rare so I don't think they know about it, is a hardware issue. In the other hand, the P1's they offer are brand new and with full warranty. The thing is that P990 is still expensive here, about 500 usd but if I wait more time the price will go down and I will have to pay more for the P1 (it's price is 650 usd), so I think is a good deal. Thanks everybody for your help.
