Thank you all for your answers but the delete option is now appearing as normal.
What I did was switching off the phone then put it on again... The idea came up to my mind after reading about updating the FW. I though that will maybe work with a reboot only, and it is.
So in case that happens to any of you one day, try to restart the phone first.

if delete does not appear on the menu, you can always press del on the qwerty keyboard, or c on the flip

you can do this two ways by: "Mark All"
1. pressing delete
2. while flip is open pressing the back key
