@Masseur and all,
But the point is as the technology became available to do it they did it, and this isn't the first firmware either it has continued to be improved. It's just this one really makes a huge difference and resolves some issues that Symbian 9.1 caused.
Just what did SE do besides having to be forced to even give one last firmware to fix two new bugs the previous firmware introduced whilst wanting to abandon their users. Hm i think the answer to that is nothing isn't it well besides abandoned them of course. much the same way as SE sold and continued to sell a product that wasn't anything close to what they promised. At least when Nokia know there is a real problem they stop selling the device until it is fixed as in the E90.
I used to support Ericsson and then SE harder and stronger then virtually anyone of this Forum much of it at my own cost. But that was when they were worthy of it now well sadly it's a very different company and scenario and i wouldn't give anyone from SE the time of day. Until they can prove they have changed which currently they are proving the opposite of, really so sad for a company that had such a great business ethic and quality of product.
Marc

with respect, I think most of us know your views now, so may I suggest that we don't get into all that SE vs Nokia here yet again in this thread but instead return to topic to discuss just the N95 firmware update please
as it happens, my son updated his last night and got V20. Will try it again tonight

unlike SE

which abandoned P990 users a few months after the p990 was released
Don't take this post as an agrue or something...
But, few (I assume this figure to be 2-4) months after P990 was released???? I think the software updates kept coming for around 10 months... And the N95 ain't any older than this???
Note: I didn't say anything positive about SE or negative about Nokia... Just what I know.... Am I wrong???

@Nanu
That may mean you have an APAC version and will try and find those product codes now just assumed it would be a Euro version.

#0536083: Taiwan
#0534833: Apac 1
#0536085: Apac 1
#0534834: Philippines
#0534835: Australia
#0534836: New Zeland
#0534837: Indonesia
#0536086: Philippines
#0536087: Australia
#0536088: New Zeland
#0536089: Indonesia
#0548298: India Apac 2
#0548299: India Apac 2
#0535053: Thailand
#0536093: Thailand
#0534839: Vietnam
#0536091: Vietnam
Very strange as all these have 7 numbers and you seem to have 8 otherwise it looks like you have New Zealand Firmware. If you want to change product code to Euro1 just PM an E-Mail address and i will send you the two guides i have to do this. It really is very fast and easy to do IMO.

@Nanu
Actually who cares what it is or where it came from as long as you can change it to Euro1 and update that's all that counts, you shouldn't have any trouble though.
