both for the n73 and the n73e (wtf, different colors, but i like silver).
thats not too bad if its unlocked and stuff. says something about needing to topup by £10 on o2 though

Yeah don't know if the silver version is unlocked though as I went for the black ME one. cpw still listing the black one at £220. I know one or two networks are doing them for £99 but I would imagine they'll be both locked and branded, something I wanted to avoid on a S60 phone after bad experiences of a N70 on Orange.

so yea is it easy to unlock?
not as easy as SE phones because they need to be taken apart for a testpoint unlock

Overall I'm pleased with mine, it takes good photos and has good call quality, it gets a little slow sometimes as I forget to close down applications. One other aspect is it uses mini SD cards which Nokia appear to be moving away from.

Another thing dude_SE, the CPW price seems very high at the moment compared to other retailers, it might be worth keeping an eye on their prices into the new year as I've got the feeling they'll drop sharply from the £220 at present. Getting it from CPW will ensure you get a sim-free model also shop around as if your after the black ME version some don't come with a memory card, mine didn't - it was listed on the box as an extra - worth bearing in mind if the price between two retailers is close.

hmm yh, but i dont see that as a big problem.
i basically want to buy a phone from a high street shop for around £100, preferably not an

because im bored of my w800 (which is now broken so im stuck with a crappy samsung), but yea anyway i cant see any other decent phones for that price. the samsung u600 or w/e it is looks ok but i just dont like the make.
so yea looks like this is the phone for me. i just need to try and get hold of one.
ill see what they are like in cpw and phones 4 u, if not i might risk buying a £99 tmob one or something and unlocking it at a shop.
i also remembered that orange do one for £170 i think it is, and its the black one so comes with a memory card which would save me like £20 or w/e, and i might get a trade in offer.
i dunno, so many options

Well its a very good phone for around then £100 mark, I'm certainly happy with mine. At the time I got it I read a lot of bad reviews but I think they were mostly related to early firmware versions, I'd say go for it.

tbh i prefer the silver color. im just saying that the high price of the n73s seem to be for black ones, but if they come with memory cards its not so bad.
i could wait till new years i suppose, but i really wanted one just after christmas. i might just have a look and see what happens.
on the cpw website theres a virgin one for £110 including £10 credit. i dont see any sim free ones though.
oh its confusing

I would guess that the Virgin one would infact be sim-free so it could be a good buy. Most CPW phones are sim-free models and they just bundle them with a sim card pack. I'd pop down to your local CPW and ask them straight wether the Virgin one is sim-free, think you'd have to buy it with a £10 top-up - use that up or give the card to someone else...and bob's your uncle you've got yourself a sim-free N73 to use with your own sim card.
