rado is part of the swatch group their head office is in Eastleigh near southampton they have (or used to) have a repair center on the 3 rd floor or you could send it to them they will give you a quote before carrying out any work.

Thanks Nic, that info is great. I knew rado was swiss but didn't know they are now owned by swatch. May give them a call tomorrow
