I actually never use the stylus.
My finger, when thinks are a little smaller my fingernail, and of course the jog-dial as well as the backspace and enter keys are all I need.
Might need a screen-protector though ....

I use it seldom as some of the icons are too small for my fingers, esp the shortcut from the upper left corner. Just yesterday mine got dislocated and I had to glue back the upper part.

"Y" for Yes, "N" for No on dialogs
"Return" for selecting the current item (lists/menus/etc)
"Left" & "Right" cursors on Messages are handy for changing between in/out/sent mailboxes
And of course the scroll wheel for changing selection
The browser also has a few shortcuts ALT+Key

I love my P1i and as you all say its fairly easy to use your thumb most of the time, but the thing that bugs me the most is the back soft key, I wish it was a little larger [ I know that some themes have a larger back key than others but even the laegest one is too small to 'reliably' thumb click all the time ( I have little nail so its thumb press for me )]. It would be perfect if the back soft key was the size of the P990's. How do others get on?

If are right handed, you are holding your phone with the left hand?
If so, why don't you just use the left thumb on the back button of the phone?

I am also a right handed and use my left better to control the phone. My upper part of the stylus got loose twice in 2 days and everytime I glued it back on the stylus...not such a good job from SE after just 3-4 months of use.

I am left handed and this phone is obviously designed for right handed, i have to use my stylus very often because i donīt let my nails grow.
After a few days you get used to it and the right-left problem really does not affect that much.
iīve read before that you can scratch your screen if you donīt use the stylus or your fingertip, so, i wonīt try anything else

I'm lef-handed too, and the only thing that annoys me is the fact that the scroll bar is on the right of the screen, which means when I use the stylus my hand hides the screen. Maybe in the future, we could see the option of puttin the bar on the left...
