Tag&Rename = the best. Do it to all of your files once and you'll never have to to it again (ratings too).

Wow, this was a toughie!

I got three replies suggesting I use a certain kind of software for tagging my music, but so far none of them have hit the target of being able to edit Rating and actually make the phone reigster the changes. And I'm using a fairly to me fool proof way of getting it to update as it should;

* Install application
* Delete the mp3 file from the phone
* Update the phone's music library making the tune disappear
* Edit tag of said file (if the Rating was set to 1 star before I set it to 5 star now)
* Copy the edited file from my computer to the phone
* Update the phone's music library

I have tried v1.x and v2.x tags and I can't make the phone handle the Rating. I always end up with an unrated track where I have to set the Rating myself.
If you've gotten this to work, do please go ahead and tell me what application you used, but also how you configured it and the procedure you're using so I can see if I've missed a step or some setting.

Thank you all so far!

Sorry for bumping this, but it's really important to me. If you'd like, PM me instead and we could take the discussion without having to litter the forum down.
