I've tried it too in Denmark. You can get connected but then you'll have to login or something and according to the website that shows upon connection, it costs money.

Some routers have problems dealing with smaller portable devices.
Also I'm having a hard time understanding your posts. Dd the page load? if it loads then the wifi is working. If the message doesn't send, it's a problem with the setup.
I think its either hardware compatibility or human error.

Also if the message is important, why ntos end it from some other wireless hotspot?

well thats the problem i have tried at afew hotspots and most of them if not all have a login page i have no idea where the page is supposed to appear though, im using mc ds as an example, as they say its easy to connect, all you do is open browser and a splash page will appear, oh if only life was that simple!, and a check for some other hotpots and they all seem to be provided by the same company, as i did try at the pub and that was the same.

..well, the way it's /supposed/ to work.. is that you'll type in an address of some sort (when you're connected to the hotspot) - and the server soft will see your request to an external address, and redirect you to some form on the server (through whatever internal address you acquired on the access- point). Which you'll use to authenticate yourself (and the server sees your shoe- size, notable features and all the pictures of your girlfriend so it'll know it's you, I guess) so your internal address will get access to the external networks through some server.

So - the question is, probably, whether or not you're using the Mcconnection when you're opening the web- browser (read: accessing a page on the intertubes), or whether the connection fails somehow and you're using a different connection, and whether you've set your mail- app to always use a specific connection group without that wifi- connection in it (I did that a couple of times)..

yes thats what is supposed to happen but i dont know what address to type in.
i do have my email account set up with wifi as 1st choice so its not that,
anyway i got so fed up i decided to send the email via gprs no matter how long it took, and it got half way and .......the phone shut down withe the message "the phone has restarted to improve performance" what a bloody joke as it still runs like a bag of shite!

Seems like it's deliberately programmed to piss people off sometimes..

..Anyway, I meant, just try accessing any random external address, and you'd be relocated to the internal address (with the form, probably).
