I agree that Nokia go to a wrong way in design....3510, the new brick....and 7210, 7250 are awful....the keys are difficult to use.
But still, 7210 is still selling very good in HK...and 3510 is far cheaper than T300....and ppl seems still not that appreciate with the way MMS. and it's too expensive for those young kids who like to use it.
and don't forget Samsung and Panasonic, they sell very good in Asia, just behind Nokia in most Asian countries.

is doomed (yet) but the p800 is not enough by itself. The T68i is still selling very well for an expensive model, but it's over a year old and need replacement, even if there is nothing wrong with it. I think

I agree on Oblomov that P800 is not entirely for mass market. That's why I said it's not everyone cup of tea. SE need to put effort on its mass market model right, i.e. T300, SE may try put different cover on T300 to attact different market segments. And the t68 II may needed in a hurry to occupy the middle market to compete with things like 7210/6610/6100 or Siemens S55

We have to consider some things:
* SE is swedish
* It has been long-awaited
* It is top of the line
Most of the current buyers are "innovators"; techno geeks, teknikbögar. They "just have to have it" and hence the price is high; it will go down no doubt.
One of the reasons SE is losing money is their lack of products at the moment. Most probably; LOTS of money is going into i n v e n t i n g whatever has to be invented (in terms of design, usability, features). Even neonode might be behind them when they finally reveal the results - no one can know.
Since the only actually new product since last year is P800; they are for sure developing new things behind the curtains. When the new line, platform, whatever comes out everything will be clearer.
P800 is their flagship and the probably only the first of a line of smartphones. It won't save SE (like T68i) but it is neither insignificant.

P800 will be ((((( THE ))))) phone to have in 2003, everyone who sees it will want it. but it will only save SE if they WANT to stay together, like ANY relationship. (i persuaded alot of my local crowd to get the t68/i,& they now trust my judgement & will also go for p800).

@navy77,i`m quite happy with SE service, my local SE service center people are a great crowd, considering i`ve never paid anything to them myself. however in the days of the old t10/t20/t28 ericsson was a dirty word in public places round here, to get all their street cred back with one phone (t68/i) is good going, but the trend must continue, if the p800 is unreliable ...goodbye SE.

I think SE has to improvise on their marketing strategy,sad to say but what Nokia is doing is the best cos every month or two they release a new model and when did SE release one.SE also should release models with some minor changes like the Nokia people do and get something new in their phones,I think FM radio will be nice inclusion in the phone.

FM radio would be nice. But dont expect SE to release ' new phones ' cause they cant even release their normal phones ON TIME. They are ALWAYS LATE. They release their phones a little at a time in different countries. Never at simultaneously around the world. Take the p800 for a good example. Not enough ? Then take t300.... Crap!! :-(
