There is
NO triagluation on the UK networks. Google makes an LBS request to o2 or Vodafone, your network checks which cell you are on and tells Google that the cell is located at x,y and that the cell has a signal radius of z meters. Google then guess where in that circle you might be and plots you on your map.
As far as I can see it all depends on how you are connected to the internet (Wap, Internet, Wifi). Which phone you have and what network you are on.
Mine works fine with a P990i, Vodafone, using their WAP apn.

The MyLocation stuff doesn't seem to show on my w960 other than in the help - if I read the topic it says it's not supported on this device. Tried both the WAP and VF Internet connections.

even that it worked here(once) i still do not know how to do it,i just wanted to make a new search and the full address was already in the list before i even used google maps.
