It's Opera-memory/cache related issue. It happend only one to me after hours of browsing. It happens when Opera is working with 4 tabs, a lot of pics and in general, a lot of info. You can't complain, it's just a damn phone, not a laptop!!

Seriously, though. It's a bit embarassing to have a unit with 128Mb ram report out of mem just from loading a couple of pictures. I've heard it shows up on the WM version of Opera as well, when the cache is full. So I doubt it's an OS problem.. directly, anyway.

- an internal array that's growing larger than they thought, or something like that. Maybe it's the way the compiler makes the code that disagrees with the way the objects are treated in the maintenance operations. Maybe they know about it, and don't think it's worth it to expand the heap for phones with more than 64Mb ram - maybe some gnome on SE thought that "noone will ever need more than twelve Mb RAM user- memory for an app". Maybe the objects that don't resolve when they're loaded externally cause some sort of problems on the arrays - I don't know.
Anyway - write something in the wiki about it
edit: ..there's another option, too. Loading web- pages completely into ram can take up a lot of space. So it's perfectly possible that the browser purposely is limited to using somewhere like 15Mb ram at the most, and then is supposed to shift the info to the disk as much as possible. Because it's been absolutely necessary up until the p1 and the n95-4 8Gb ultra to have that kind of restrictions on the program..

As suggested above by 701 and nipsen, this is clearly a pure Opera bug, that is a failure to use memory offered by the OS.

well guys so you say its opera bug ,,,, thats mean the P990i opera browser has less cach than the p1i !!! how is that and both of them are the same Opera 8.65 !!!! ive used the P990i and sufferd alot with browsing the net this message appears in the P990i more than it appears in the P1i ..... i mean if its an Opera bug the P990i and the P1i are the same !!!! .... because of this its not an Opera bug !!! .....

No. On the P990 there are two "bugs": one in Opera (restricted use of available memory) and one in the phone (little free memory). These two problems act as synergists and the result is many "No memory" message. On the P1 only the Opera problem is present, so you get less error messages - but you still get some!
