I was talking about openning the downloadable pdf from TFL's site, on my P1, there is an option for auto-rotate when in fullscreen viewing, again under the tiny icon in the top right corner - to get to fullscreen press 'expand', then turn on the zoom.
@Muhammad-Oli - True, and this might make access even faster too!

I think that I have got to the bottom of it. I have been opening the Tube Map file from File Manager when in full screen landscape mode there is no zoom option. However when I open it from Picture Gallery, again in full screen landscape mode, zoom is an option.
Quite why I do not know - I would have thought they would both use the same viewer app.
