Hello everyone im new here thought it was a good site so i have come on board. Anyway has anyone seen this in Vodafone shops on their pay as you talk service the Nokia 8800Arte going for £1000. Crazy or what i would not pay that sort of money for that rubbish. Looks nice but thats about it. For £700 less you can get the great SonyEricsson W890 on Vodafone. Need i say more. Im big SE fan by the way but currently stuck with a Nokia. Soon looking to upgrade.
Thats an expected reply from someone who doesnt have the money to afford an expensive phone. I know thats true, you know thats true, so dont argue.

And THATS the kind of reply I expect from somebody who has a great deal more money than common sense, and would rather purchase a stupidly expensive phone such as the one in question to hide behind so people can't see who he really is.
Grow up and don't say such spiteful things by jumping to conclusions.
I doubt very, very much that most people would say such a thing out of jelousy, whenever I've discussed Vertus and 8800's to people who don't want/can't afford one, they've never expressed an interest in having one, simply showed their distaste at even the thought of spending that much money on a worthless item.

Anyways, £1000 is ridiculous for a Nokia 8800 arte, in my country (Netherlands) phones are a bit more expensive, than in the UK and I know a webshop here, which sells them for 799 euros (£639), new phones, with two years warranty.

You're too naive. Dont you get it why they hate it? Because they cant afford it! Better to find faults in something you cant get rather than to be jealous, thats their motto.
Why dont you show me one celebrity who either owns a SE W890 or a Nokia N95? 8800 Arte was not made for people who dont have 1200$ for a cellphone, it was made for those who can afford it.
And lets talk worth shall we. Why dont you go to your local dealer and find out the price of a synthetic sapphire and leather imported from Western India, both which were used in the 8800 and then come up with a price of a phone. Then we'll know whether its worth it or not.

Yes, QVGA, we already know you missed the point. No need to nag about it.

I bed to differ. I did not miss your point, I chose to ignore it alltogether as its false.
If somebody ever bought me one of these, I'd either suggest they take it back and I'll have the money instead, or I'd just sell it. I wouldn't want one of these disgusting things in my hands thank you very much.
I imagine yes if most people were given them they wouldnt say no, but they wouldnt go out of their way to buy one.
It's like when some tit drives past in a 'blinged' out BMW or whatever kids like these days, most grown ups, not those with a mental age of 6, would tut and shake their head.
