Yes, I made sure I edited the background picture, as it seemed to have a logo in the top left of the image.

The visualisations have now been sorted. The 'Kastor' folder had not copied across correctly, and after restarting they work fine!

i dont know of any reason why the w960 player could not be ported evantually - just a matter of time. although the guy who ported the w950 files says the w960 files bricked his m600.

Do you think it will be possible to also integrate the "media menu" (the xmb) of the W960?

From what I understand, the menus tend to be hard-coded into the firmware, so my guess is that this might be a tricky propersition, but you never know...

Forgive such a silly question but i've been following this topic (the whole walkman 2.0 on non-walkman UIQ devices) but i'm still confused at the advantages offered?!

Anyways, i am thinking of undertaking this modification of my P1 but i just want to know what is the likelyhood of bricking the device?

From my understanding after you install the sis file on your phone and the files on your PC the program will run automatically and unlock the private folders. But between installing everything you need on your PC and installing the sis on the phone and running them is there anything which could damage the phone?

I guess accessing private folders and deleting something that wasn't meant to be deleted will result in most likely a dead phone. But how about overwriting the walkman files. Say if when overwriting something doesn't copy properly or is not overwritten correctly will this kill the phone?

Basically i just want a little risk assessment, currently the default player is fine for me, i dont see any difference except the visuals which isn't much of an issue because the phone is in its pouch or my pocket when playing music. Plus i tend to prefer LCG jukebox rather than the default player. But if i can make my phone pretty why not

Many thanks.

Oh by the way did anyone see on ipmart someone released a walkman 3 mod for the P1 only...dont know how legit it is and i'm not testing it as i still dont have access to private folders. But do go have a peek!

awesome... just downloaded it now - looks promising - makes sense too since the P1i and W960 are so similar...

Will give it a try tonight
