I was tempted by the Nokia 6500 classic but have read quite a few poor reviews particularly regarding poor battery life.

Yeah i really would love 8giga byte of memory but i really hate the N95 design and its too big.

If the N95-8GB is to big then how come you want a W960i? Its bigger except is is very slightly thinner than the N95-8GB

Yes i see your point i guess there quite the same. Though recently i seen a W960 in O2 store working model and the screen looks washed out not a patch on the Nokia. Going to have to do alot of thinking its going to be couple of weeks till i get my work bonus so thats when i spend. The Nokia 6500 classic is so over rated it has poor construction on the plastic bit creaked alot battery not bad with 3G off average screen. The bloody thing kept switching itself off during internet browsing its drove me mad. Good thing about it was music through headphones was amazing really great dynamic sound and sound through speaker is very loud for thin phone never missed a call and call quality was good. Anyway Nokia is probably going to be my top choice weather its the 8 gig or N82. If anyone else thinks of alternate quality phones with all those features i want then please im open to suggestions.

Was in shop today after work and looked again. N95 is off my list. Screen is so big it dont look that sharp pixels are seen also not all that bright. Slides bit wobbly and i just still hate the size and design. It was a working model stuck to the wall. Had another play with N82 & W960 so much better. W960 feels so much better in the hand and looks nice and N82 is the dogs well you know what.

Definitely n82..... better camera options, fast interface (when compared to n95 8 gigs)..... simple candy bar phone..... dont know about n95 8gigs, but have heard from friends that slider phones tend to start creaking after 8-10 months of usage..... so would definitely recommend n82..... cheers

Maybe i'll be the first to firmly recommend the W960i over the N82.

I've neen using the W960i for four months now, and had an N82 for a week before it got sent back. Music quality is A+, the only downside being there is no 3.5mm direct headphone jack. With decent headphones attached to the fastport extension, you will not be dissappointed though.

Regarding other features, the browser for me is better than the Nokia's purely for one reason...copy and paste. So so helpful when you're doing full surfing, and no option at all on the N82. The camera is ok for me, again not overly impressed with the N82's initially.

The touchscreen for me is perfect, and never plays up (famous last words i suppose...) but the combination of wheel/buttons/touchscreen gives you the flexibility.

The screen is great during normal use, but very hard to see in the sunlight even on 100% brightness which does dissapoint me personally.

As usual, there is never one perfect handset, and admittedly a combination of the two would probably be awesome, but decisions do have to be made....i'd still go for the W960i and it syncs great with the PS3! Bonus...
