Well, as a functional phone only, the T300 is rather limited in it's PIM functions... no calendar & scheduler functions, no sync function. No bluetooth means the T300 is pretty useless with the Palm TT.

IR is fine, but it's so annoying to use on the move. I never used a PDA+celfone combo prior to Bluetooth for that reason.

I do like the java games and ringtones of the T300. I don't like the fact that it's bigger than the T68i though.

The T300 is a great entry level color-screen phone. I want one myself, as the 'little brother' of my coming-soon P800

If you want a low-cost celfone option for the Palm TT...get the Ericsson R520 or T39. Both offer GPRS and Bluetooth that would work just fine as a mobile modem for your Palm

Im going to go the route you suggested!! The T68i/my T39m with a Palm TT!

Y----> Mainly first off the most usuable applications in number and real world usuability is on the Palm then the PPC (HP iPaq 5400 series).

Secondly only the HP iPaq 5400 series supports the Bluetooth headset profile of all adapters (SD, CF I/II) on the PocketPC camp. While the Palm TT with its imbedded Bluetooth ver 1.1b chip is upgradeable (when Palm decides to do this) to support the Bluetooth headset profile---which you cannot get with Palms BT SD card.

Just think voice notes and recording of phone call conversations with your BlueSpoon headset (BT), your T68i/T39m onto SD card with your Palm TT. Say how about voice commands to launch apps or speech to text from a BT Headset to your Palm TT.

Any other ideas that can pose this functionality???!

@@ngel: Has your T|T accumulated dust in the screen? There are reports that some units do get dust in their screens as mentioned in this thread. It's actually holding me back from buying a T|T.

adrktemplar !! Thanks!!

I spoke to Sony Europe last Friday and they are out of stock.

They did have silver ones before but not the gunmetal grey one!

I am still not sure which would be better Sony NX70v or Tungsten.

mmm!

There is a disadvantage with a Palm solution-you need TWO pockets and always have to decide if you should bring the Palm or not. Of course it will be at HOME when you need it most.
A P800 eliminates that and fits in ONE pocket...
I had a T39 and a Sony Clie before and replaced them with a P800. A good choice i think.
Of course a smaller phone is more suitable sometimes. I'll keep my T39 for that.
