Make sure that you also upload a custom pack to your phone as well.

To do this select 'customise file system' below the flashing options in xs++ and then select you model from the drop-down list.

If you do not do this you will get a 'customization error' when you turn on your phone.



Edit: Here is an screenshot of this, just make sure that you select a suitable cda version:

if I just want to have generic menu icons with no optus icons as homepage and no myzoo now on right soft key do I need to make a custpack if so which custpack?

You phone will not work without customisation.

To find your cda press right * left left * left * on your phone to access the service menu then go to service info>software info and then scroll down to the customisation section to find your cda version and then apply the same version custpack

There are custpacks available in xs++ in a drop-down menu when you tick the 'customise file system' box.

Tbh I don't know if you can use a different version custpack to what is already installed (although I would have thought this should work)

Have you checked the k800 custpacks that are available in xs++

I would have thought any generic unbranded custpack should work; although hopefully another member can confirm this before you do go ahead with using a custpack built in to xs++ that may not have the same version as your phone.
