As I stated before, it seems like it is an issue with the phone, not the card. I'm sure if you placed it in a REAL card reader, and not an emulated one (the phone), then it would be just fine.
you are so positive about your ideas...
you couldn't even admit that it might be an incompatibility case between the SE K850i and Kingston cards...
Yeah, especially when I have 3 other friends with the k850i's, one of which has a 4 Gig Kingston, and theirs act exactly the same as mine. The other two have a 2 Gig and a 4 Gig, and all of ours have faults at times, requiring a reboot. So yes, I am positive of my idea. What's it to YOU, especially if I'm using a non-Kingston and having issues?

was it THAT hard to specify it? you know... now everyone loves a wise-guy... but somehow even that was useful...
By the way... would you mind posting the "non-Kingston" cards your friends use and have problems with? that would be much apreciated.

I have an 8gb kingston MicroSD (6Gb full) in my K850 (R1FA035) and I have no problems at all!.. well apart from a slow media player but I also use a W960 also so Im no stranger to a slow mobile
I have noticed that you can insert the card a fraction crooked though. It should sit perfectly flush against the PCB - no irregular gaps. Maybe worth a closer look?

You're a life-saver. I owe you one
.
i see it even solved the massive storage issue (the card wasn't "seen" by the usb... ) well now it kinda makes sense...
thanks again

ok...
like JiSm said the microSD card can be inserted slitly wrong... (and i'm not talking about inserting it like an M2 card).
as you know K850 supports 2 types of cards M2 and microSD (even microSDHC... does that make it 3 types then...?) and they have to fit in the same sapce while inserted (one at the time).
if you have an M2 card you-ll see its insertion is flawless...
a microSD card is a bit smaller and it MUST fit in the small space that's at the bottom of the card slot (phone with its display facing the floor).
i'll post a picture later today... (unless someone posts it first)... that will be way easier to understand
cheers!!!

Yeah, two of my friends use Lexar's, while I use a SanDisk. But like I said, it seems to be the PHONE.
