Combinatin of keys holded down while connection the usb cable... Older prototype phones might connect to PC by holding the 2 and 5 keys togedher and pluging the usb cable... Or holding only 2 instead of the C button

It worked sometimes on the older K800s

Now I have to go 2 steps back and acquire the firmware and file system files for the W890. Can anyone direct me to the right place to get these files? I am looking for the generic firmware. I live in the US, so I want english American files for US. I tried SEusers website but you have to pay them to download the files. Can't I get these files for free?

xs++ detects all phones. it's just that it doesnt go any further. in some cases xs++ says that the phone is not supported. but in yours it doesnt say it.

w890 is a db3150 and xs++ v3.1(or v3.0) supports db2010/db2020 only.

So the only way flashing it is SeTool or the online flashing clients (which are not free)...

I'm not paying that much money on the slight chance that SEtool would work.

I think I'll sell the phone on Ebay as a "brown" prototype model for SE hobbyists. I'm sure they're out there.
