I can't wait anymore to hear any official news about the US release. Time is money and I don't think any US carriers are very interested in the P800. I am going to get on by own means.

Hey, US guys... there's a thread about this in the "Americas" forum:

Woedee, you say T-mobile US is going to sell it soon... are you sure about this? What is your source? How soon?

Thanks,

Sven

Hmm...

I wish I had as much money as you people seem to have...

I'm going to have to rely on my trusty 7110 for another month or so, till I get my student loan in, and can then spend 1/3 of it on the P800! (plus another £100 on upgrading to XP so I can actually install the software suite that comes with it!**)

** Aparently it doens't run under Windows 98, so I guess I'd better get XP

UAEMall is a legit operation. Got two from the UAE, one is for sale. $850. New, boxed, still in courier packing envelope. Interested? Send me a private message. This is a legit post, no scam, not go-on-take-the-money-and-run.

Hey, Omar do they only take money transfers.... is there any way for me to use a credit card because they have not responded back to me after I placed my order..except to tell me to wire money over there.

Thanks.
Taylor

Ok Contaygious, here's the deal. As I said earlier UAE Mall is a legit operation. However, they're not very sophisticated. Before the P800 went on sale they had it on their website as a soon-to-be-released item. I contacted them through their website and expressed a "definite" desire to buy one as soon as it went on sale. On December 21st they sent me the following automated message:
"We have received your offer/inquiry for Sony Ericsson P800 and it has been delivered to the supplier, uaemall_mobiles. He will respond to it at the earliest."
I haven't heard from them since. This doesn't mean they'll take your money and do a runner but it's just not good business practice. I just checked 4 u and they don't accept credit cards.
In the event My local SE dealer here in Qatar flew to Dubai, UAE (45 minute flight) and came back with 50 P800s. I bought one. Then my brother who works in Dubai sent me one coz he knew I wanted one ASAP. So I ended up with 2 P800s.
And the other one is still for sale.

Hope this helps.
