I use sms over gprs,..and its free of charge.

I know that my operator works on how to charge you for the gprs-traffic itself. I do pay for the gprs-account,..but not the traffic yet.

I also used sms over gprs on telia in sweden for a while until they shut it down. They claimed as official reason that they had technical problems with the service so it will be shut down until these technical diffculties are solved. During the period i tried sms over gprs i found no problems with it. I sent sms to people in other countries to wich have no gprs in their networks yet and it worked without problems. So either Telia has solved this "translation" that netcom talks about or netcom is just making things up. like maybe telia is doing. I would not state problems in the billing system as technical problems in gprs.

Well, some people gets intimidated when they hear "technical." So if the SP says it's a technical problem, most people would probably just let it be.

Unless the excuse is really quite lame. Like this case perhaps?
