I've just tried that a few times and the service message comes through as text. I'm guessing it's corrupt so I'll try again later.
I've already had the settings form the Voda site, but they let me view a massively stripped down and non-functional version of the site. Only text, no images etc.

That's correct that is what you will get on the W890i because its not part of the Vodafone line up, so the web site doesn't recognise your phone and gives you a basic version of it.

But anyway just check your internet settings ...
Thats all the configurations you need to connect to vodalive sites.
It uses a different APN and sometimes it connects though a proxy.
Check them out and manually configure the data acount and internet connection setting if you know the values.
Normally the APN = vlive do the trick.
