Its a big loss to mobile world. The combination has produced some of the best high end phones. ( reverse is also true )

I never read the full article but tht statement can mean something better.

he might be saying he need to help out SonyEricsson with something innovative like they did two years ago? that is the time K750 and W800/ K800 coming into the picture.

but if this mean bring in more Sony brand into SonyEricsson portfolio...they better make sure it got the "INNOVATIVE" in it.

Handycam was HYPED a long time here at Esato but never come...BRAVIA screen on phone was hoped a long time to be available outside Japan but yet to happen.

At the end of Q3, which will probably see the JV ring up a significant financial loss, the hounds will really go for SE's throat although, hopefully by then, some interesting devices will have been announced and things will be on the up again.

Q4 will probably see a good turnaround as the festive season is always a bumper month. The Xperia range will hopefully have been expanded and some big sellers will be on the shelves.

I'm not worried for the JV as they have both invested plenty but have reaped even more financial dividends over the years, hundreds of millions of pounds in fact.

They need to be more agile in moving to meet what the consumer demands.
