you really think

make a crappy flagships ???? (every phone(flagship) from t610 to c902 have been great in my use).
let me remaind you its software we speak about...not the phone herself...yes, ok.
and im feeling sorry for this guys who got brod, etc...its not accepted of

to punch out so bad firmwares...but once again, if you dont get brod, etc, and have a normal firmware...you have a good phone.

Unfortunately, I'm not going to continue with debating/arguing with you since you selectively read my posts. You had two perfectly working K850s, that's great! One thing you shouldn't think is that everybody else is as "lucky"as you, a fact that seems to always escape you. So, continue to live in your world where there aren't any problems with the K850i and all those who have problems are delusional.

i understood your point from the first post...ok.
just a short question...have you experience k850 yourself, or is it just your friends, etc, oppinions you establish your "fact" on.

I had a K850i which was an absolute pile of junk. UI was slow, programs crashed, alarm wouldn't go off, it was a nightmare.
I know of 3 people at work with K850i's who have had endless problems with the phone crashing, freezing, bricking etc etc.
Just because a lot of people have had good units, doesn't mean you can automatically ignore those in the Firmware Thread. They all have the same phone too, and it didn't work. That shows the phone is not a 100% reliable model
as a whole, not just from handset to handset.

Yes, plangk I have used a friend's K850i for two weeks while trying to decide between it and my current W890i. And that is as recent as last month.
The good: sharp and clear screen- slightly bigger than the W890i, good earpiece volume, sufficient ring volume, good photos- didn't however try the flash.
The bad: build quality is so so, froze on me twice, lagged when playing music.
She said she had the latest firmware. Now, when I compare that to my W890i which I never experienced any of the above then it still has some problems. Before you say it is just one person I have 3 more people who have issues with it. One friend and two colleagues. Add to that the complaints here on Esato and other related sites it clearly is not where it should be.
I took a decision not to buy it based on those 4 people's input and research and I am happy with the W890i.
I don't think it is completely stable, probably the next firmware(s) updates.

On latest firmware my k850i is very very good, before i was have two brod's and many probs with keypad and dead loudspeaker.
Everything since Nov. last year.
BUT i will never change my k850i for device like w890i is.
EVERYTHING on k850i is better.
Nhf, thats my opinion.

That is the point I am making. That is neither normal, nor what you would expect from a flagship phone. This phone bricked twice, had multiple problems with the keyboard and the speaker died.
The firmware may have fixed the BROD's, but the keyboard and loudspeaker are down to build quality and maybe design too.
Because of this kind of behaviour, I would approach this handset with caution. Remember,
croatia has enjoyed his phone afterwards which I think is great for him, but would you buy one in the hope that it if it did develop problems, it would get over them?

I finaly managed to update my K850 to latest fw. Its like whole new phone, it hasn't crashed since, its realy being realiable, SE actualy did a good job on its fw.
I would suggest getting the K850 and then updating its fw. The W890 is nice but it's not a phone i'd recommend. The K850 has the better camera, larger screen, and accelerometer. I havent had any problems hardware wise with my K850. Its well built, the keypad takes some getting used to but after using for a while its fine. Its screen is great, crystal clear and crisp. The loudspeaker is fine, ive dropped my K850 a few times but its still great. Its a lot better than a W890 IMO.

my take on this... would you buy a phone whose production has been abruptly discontinued just barely over a year from its initial release? something's definitely not kosher...

Well the W900 was discontinued a few months after release and it was a great device after a few FW updates. I got it a month or 2 after news broke out that it was discontinued, my network still had sum units.
