Glad this got resolved, without someone getting richer!

SEMCTool 8.4 FREE(admin program - google it) can unlock, or read NCKs for NOTHING!! And I would have done so for Ofiaich on the day he collected the W900, had my laptop not been shafted(as Ofiaich saw with his own eyes)- For NO CHARGE!! It's a two year old device, FFS - what fleecer should gain from something no-one else cares about??

voda_jon, thanks chap, s'all I can say right now! I wish there were more like yourself......

SEMCTool cracked version will not work with USBcable.
You will need a fighter cable which costs about 10-15 pounds.

And a heads up...
they have changed as all new contract phones are now unlocked.

No they are not. I have seen several Blackberry Bolds that are Vodafone locked and they came on contract.

For SEMCTool you need the cruiser cable to use it with external battery in order to connect your phone properly,

Weird then, the £7 multiserver cable(no 3v attachments on it) I've had since it was built back in 08/05(yes, over 3 years ago) has given me not one problem with any SE to date, whether reading unlock codes from S700/K750etc/W900, or flashing a brown T650 to red......

And for those technically minded(with more budget constraints than me), there are even procs around on the net, to build your own service cable from a DCU-60......

Regardless, why should one Voda contract customer by able to call 191 and get a pay and go phone unlocked for absolutely nothing, and yet Ofiaich was expected to pay a charge for exactly the same service(and I'd bet that he's been a Voda customer for longer)??

Glad this got resolved in the end! Hope you enjoy W900!

I'm an O2 contract customer with a PAYG C902 and O2 want £30 to unlock, blaming Sony for the charge.

For C902 you will have to Shell out more , its a new phone and its a DB3150 platform.
No free unlocking solution for it yet.
