o2 have just done away with upgrades in Ireland so there is no benefit in 18 or even 12 month contracts as you will be better off jumping ship to get a better handset deal! it seems the ship may be sinking for o2/telefonica

I think given your lack of acuracy in other posts, I tend to think perhaps you've got this wrong also. I severely doubt any network would abollish upgrades.

I spoke to Vodafone a few dyas ago and they were really pushing their 24 month tariffs. They would hardly talk about 18 month tariffs let alone 12 month ones.

I reluctantly signed up for a 18 month 3UK contract but little did I know that they actually do
6 month contracts. Wish I had known before hand.

It does me for waht i need, and i dont plan to move to 18, i get bored of phones easily you see!
If they try and shove me onto a 18 in Feb, ill tell them where to gooo!
