Sorry is important, but I think she might be more upset that you tried to control who she goes out with than the fact you had feelings for her. In her mind, if she see's you as a good friend, she would be very offended that you got angry at her for going out with someone else - it's her choice and a friend should support her choices. Even though she didn't actually go with someone else, she will feel that you have no right to complain even if she does.
I think this might be why she is so upset, not because you have feelings for her.
If you send her a letter saying you realise how pathetic it was to try and tell her who she should see, and how sorry you are and how much you miss her companionship just as a friend, she may start to feel she can trust you again.

The good news is the birthday card with the word sorry in worked. She called me this morning. We spoke nothing about what happened and she seemed really happy. I just gotta gain her full trust again. We were almost talking as if nothing happened. But she knows how sorry i am and there is no point in going on about it cos it just causes tension or arguments. I just wanna move on. Im pleased. Great News! Since she responded so well to the card, I think you are right, it's not worth going on about it any more.

Yes im really happy too. She said a few things happened whilst we were not speaking and it made her think of me. She never deleted my number perhaps a good sign too. I may have to change back my tariff to unlimited calls on O2 favourite place again cos my god did we used to talk for hours on the phone. All's well that ends well. Cheers.

I just recieved a text from her this morning and she said that she has not only forgiven me but its all forgotten. God im so relieved i could never hurt such a wonderful friend ever again. What a prat. And there was me also telling my best friend i was in love with her. I must mean something to her though i am not going to push it and just be friends with her.

Yes i will never let go of her or hurt her like that again. Im not a bad person just stupid. We talk about everything tell each other everything we make each other laugh and cry(with laughter)and we seem to have this amazing bond. She had a bad husband and i was there for her and her 3 kids. She is from Portugal and from a pretty well off family though i care nothing for that. She makes my day when we are together. Ya gotta hang onto people like that in life cos their rare to find. I love her in many ways. What happened in your story mate?
