Once I had T39 which battery lasted only couple of days. SE service center fiqured out that the problem was not in battery, but in phone and I got the new one.

An update for my battery drain problems...

It's fixed! (At least, I hope it is)

The problem seemed to get worse at first. When driving around for 10 or more miles, carrying the phone, it would suddenly drain and turn itself off. Really weird.

Then I noticed my sms inbox was filled with useless cb-"sms" messages containing cell info from number 050, with a time stamp of just before the sudden shut downs. It appeared that the cell broadcasting on the Vodafone network was causing the battery drain.

So I immediately turned info services and cell broadcasting off, thinking I'd solved the problem.

Those stupid cell broadcast unfortunately still kept pooring in somehow. Finally I turned everything back on and then back off, adding then removing any addresses in the allowed sender list for the CB messages.

It seems to have stopped now and battery life is brilliant!!!

I have to see if it really "OFF" off when driving past the notorious gsm-pole that was force feeding my SE T303 those useles cell broadcasts, but I hope the T303 finally has learned to "just say no".
