Again, to me personally, Russell Brand/Johnathon Ross do not equal comedians but that is my opinion. I know I am showing my age, but I went to see a Ken Dodd show a month ago. He was on the stage, with a short break, from 1930 to 0050 and did not use anything stronger that the odd bugger/sod it. Most "comedians" nowadays can't string a short sentence together without resorting to bad language. And as for lasting for nearly four hours - well. I spent 29 years in the Navy so am no angel with language but there is a limit.
As Mweb says, it must be an age thing! I hate the TV when, at one minute past 2100, we get every profanity imaginable broadcast on all channels - it appears to be okay then. At least they now give out a warning so the kids - or the granny - can be sent to bed!!
Need a lie down now - must be an age thing!
Night night!

I'm not a big fan of Brand either, I just don't find him funny at all, some people are raving about how funny he is but I can't even raise a smirk when listening/watching him (Which is never for more than 5 minutes!). There seem to be too many shows and comedians who only seem able to raise a laugh by swearing a lot or being rude to people. Perhaps it's just me but I actually hate all those shows which get off on pranking people in rather nasty ways - I know I would hate to be on the recieving end of something like that, and quite likely to forget my non-violent nature and smack someone in the face if they tried any of that crap on me! The pranks don't seem quite as 'good natured' as in progs like 'beadles about' or Noel Edmunds' NTV on 'Noel's House Party'!

...... Sorry for the delay, I was just lighting my pipe and popping on my tartan-pattern slippers whilst sipping warm cocoa
Again, it's probably the ratings-hungry producers who are more to blame here though as the show wasn't live and they had every opportunity to stop this from being broadcast.

I can't stand that schoolboy humour Jonathan Ross is famous for. The quicker he gets off the TV the better - the smarmy fool!
The whole episode is ridiculous - the BBC is dragging its heels over all this because if they manage to ride out this huge wave of criticism then they'll have made a lot of good publicity for the radio show from these two blithering idiots.
SACK'EM!

@brownie1989
This has not been the first time for Russell to be warned this year as he made a prank call to the Police earlier in the year.
It is also not to do with the swearing but to do with the lewdness of the repeaded calls about the person grand daughter.
I agree that there are lot of people complaining now because they are jumping on the bandwagon but I also think this should not have been allowed to happen.

It appears Ross and Brand have now been suspended from broadcast until the whole thing has been dealt with!

Good. I can't stand the way Russell Brand yells everything he says. He sounds like an idiot (and looks like one too). First I had ever heard of him was when he hosted the MTV Video Music Awards a month or two back, and most of the American audience were a bit WTF about him.

He did such a bad job of it they've asked him back next year!
TBH I don't like all the sport they put on TV as I can't stand football etc
but I'll never ask for football to not be shown on TV or whinge about it.
I'll just refrain from watching it and then for me at least the problem is solved,
Live and let live, each to their own etc etc etc etc. . . . . . . . .

On Tuesday afternoon, Sachs told the BBC that Ross had "personally delivered a letter of apology and some flowers" since the broadcast.
He has not "heard anything" from Brand, the actor added.
Shows Brand up for what he really is.
